Privacy Policy

Kalibrate is a product of Kaplex Industries Inc. (“Kaplex”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (incorporation no. BC1599302), of 212–1939 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 4W9, Canada. This policy explains what we collect when you use Kalibrate, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
We collect the following to run the Service:
- Account information — the details you give us to set up and access your account, such as your name, business name, and email address.
- Cost and pricing data — the cost book, rates, and pricing information you enter to build and maintain your price book.
- Uploaded invoices — the invoices and supplier documents you upload, which we read to build your price book.
- Quotes and customer details — the quotes you create and the customer contact information you enter to prepare them.
- Usage and technical data — standard information such as your IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it running and secure.
How we use it
We use your information to provide and operate Kalibrate: to read your invoices and build your price book, to help you produce quotes, to store and organize your data, to communicate with you about the Service, to keep it secure and prevent abuse, and to meet our legal obligations.
Your cost data is private
Your pricing, cost book, invoices, quotes, and customer details belong to you and are private to your account. We do not share your cost data with other Kalibrate users or with your competitors, and we do not sell it. We do not use your pricing to set anyone else’s prices. Your data is yours, and you can export it — your price book, your quotes, and your inputs — at any time.
Sharing
We share your information only in these situations: with service providers who help us operate the Service (our hosting and infrastructure providers, and, where a plan involves payment, a third-party payment processor), acting under contract and only as needed; and where the law requires it, such as a valid legal request. If our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer as part of it, subject to this policy.
Storage & security
Your information is stored with our providers using access controls and encryption in transit. Some providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to that country’s laws. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to do their job.
Retention
We keep your account, cost data, invoices, and quotes for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize them, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation or where it remains briefly in routine backups. You can ask us to delete your data or account at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete the information in your account. To make a request, email info@kaplexindustries.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time, free of charge.
Cookies
The Service uses only the cookies and local storage it needs to function — to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. We don’t run advertising trackers. If we ever add analytics, we’ll update this policy before we turn it on.
Children
Kalibrate is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of majority in their province or state.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and we’ll tell you about material changes where it’s reasonable to do so.
